15 Years of AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prize Winners!

Starting in 2005 with the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Awards to six science authors, the AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prize for Excellence in Science Books has continued to honor the best science trade books in four different categories. From 2006 to the present, a total of 62 prizes have been given in the categories of Children’s Science Picture Book, Middle Grades Book, Young Adult Book, and Hands-On Science Book. The books cover a broad range of topics, from the dust beneath your bed to landing humans on the moon. And the hands-on books cover everything from raising chickens to creating inventions.
As you start off the new year, you can choose from this selection of 62 AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prize winners to help engage young readers and stimulate their interest in the sciences. The books are arranged by category and then yearly on our website. You can choose one or perhaps group several together to complete a theme. Most importantly, have fun!
